We often see black virgins covered by a lavish veil carrying a masculine figure like Almighty God (including the scepter and the globe). Over a richly elaborate background of dots grouped by color, Boris reproduces intriguing winged figures of marked features that remind us of the delicate goldsmithing and enameling craft during the Middle Age.
