Damian Valdes

Damian's world is populated by organic figures who compose an iconography dominated by fiercely dehumanized characters and a monstrous natural environment.

In his drawings and paintings, many of them with strong colors and shapes reminiscent of Matisse- we find all sorts of stories ranging from covens to religious scenes, through different episodes arising from his own imagination.

In parallel he also develops other creations consisting of small models of modern imaginary cities built from various recycled materials - electronic equipment, casings, pens, etc. His aims at representing a different way of life.
